Why you should let your ideas play in the sandbox with other ideas?

"No, no, no hunny, you can't go over there."

"Why mom?"

"Well that sand is dirty and you may get an infection from the other ideas"

"But mom, they have dump trucks, cranes, and really cool shovels. Imagine what we could do with those toys"

"Honey, all of that sounds good but I want to keep you safe. I don't want you to..."

"So where can I play then?"

"Right here in front of me"

"Ok, will you play with me then?"

"No baby, I am going to just sit right here and worry about the possible dangers around you. I'm trying to keep you safe."

"What are you afraid of mom?"

"Um...I just...hmmm...you'll understand when you are older."

"Can I have something to play with?"

"No, if I give you something to play with, you may hurt yourself"

"Mom, this is ridiculous, why did we come to the park if you are not going to let me out of your sight and I can not play with anything?"

"Well, I want the other parents to see that...ugh...I just...can't imagine..."

"Losing me?"

"Well, yes."

"I think the best thing that could happen to you is that you lose me..."

"well, you are losing me by holding me so tightly."

"Oh, I didn't realize."

"Why don't you go down the slide a couple times?"

"Alright! Let's do this mom!!!!"

"WOW" a stranger comments! "I really like your idea, it has a certain excitement about it"

"Why, thank you"

"See mom, I told you"
